Volunteer Opportunities

Abortion happens every 20 seconds in the U.S. It takes place more than 18,000 times a year in Tennessee, and that’s not even the whole picture. Women from our community also flee to Nashville or Atlanta seeking abortions. This happens every day even though help and hope can be found right here. There’s always more to do, more people to reach. That’s where you come in.

Partner with Hope Resource Center to empower our community to choose life through the love of Christ. We need passionate people to join with us to reach men and women in need. The ways to help are endless, from giving your time, money, or even donating material needs. You can start making a difference right here, right now.

  • Material Needs: Celebrate a new mom’s choice for life! Donate gently used baby items to Hope Resource Center’s Stork Shop where moms can buy the items they need with the Baby Bucks earned through attending parenting classes. You can also give gifts that will be given away during Hope Resource Center’s baby showers, given to first-time moms to celebrate their choice for life and graduation from parenting classes. Contact Megan Matthews to learn more.
  • Volunteer: When a patient comes through Hope Resource Center’s doors, you can be the first reflection of Christ they see. By volunteering, you can bring the love of Jesus Christ to women and men in our community. From administrative help to supporting our medical staff, there are many areas to get involved. Contact Megan Matthews or click HERE for more information.
  • Financial Gifts: Your financial investment at any level makes a significant impact at Hope Resource Center. For only $1, your donation provides a free pregnancy test, encouragement, support, and prayer to a woman in need. Imagine the impact of $20, $50, or even more. Donate a one-time gift or partner with Hope Resource Center with regular, monthly giving. Your gifts make this vital ministry possible. Donate today.

When a woman experiences an unplanned pregnancy, she often turns to an abortion clinic instead of the church for help. Hope Resource Center is a unique ministry partner of the church that exists to reach her before she aborts, provide the help she needs and bring hope to her situation. Your church partnership promotes the sanctity of human life in the greater Knoxville area, helps us protect the unborn and shows the love of Christ to women and men in our community.

  • Baby Bottle Campaign Fundraisers: Host a baby bottle campaign at your church to collect coins and cash in baby bottles to contribute to Hope Resource Center. This is a great project for children and youth groups, but many churches involve their entire congregation! It’s simple – Hope Resource Center delivers, picks up, and provides all supplies. Donations go toward meeting the immediate needs of patients and opening hearts for the message of Christ. Contact Andrew Wood to learn more.
  • Host a Baby Shower: Hope Resource Center hosts baby showers for patients who are enrolled in parenting classes. Your church can get involved in the celebration by providing refreshments, wrapping gifts, or donating baby items. Contact Megan Matthews to learn more.
  • Prayer Partner: Hope Resource Center depends on prayer from church supporters and our dedicated prayer team. Commit to lifting up our ministry and the patients we serve. Pray to give our patient advocates the right words at the right moment to connect with the women and men who need Jesus. Pray for continued provision for our ministry to meet our patients’ needs and to work toward saving lives. Contact Andrew Wood for more information about how to pray for Hope Resource Center.
  • Be the Link: We need individual church members to be between the church and Hope Resource Center. Your service as church liaison will allow Hope Resource Center to partner effectively with your church to better serve men and women in need. Contact Andrew Wood to be the link for your church.

Businesses understand the importance of a bottom line. At Hope Resource Center, our bottom line depends on YOU! Partner with us to donate time, services, or resources. Help of any kind contributes toward providing hope in the Knoxville community.

  • Sponsor an Event: Contact us to sponsor an event and showcase your organization as Christian owned and operated.

“Hope Resource Center has a strong community presence, rallying to revere life by educating and caring for women going through hardship, pregnancy or other health issues. We think the simplest way to help Hope Resource Center is to alleviate funds for lawn services by managing the property’s landscape without charge. By freeing up these funds, we know more resources are directed toward utilities, supplies for the center and patient needs. If we can help them change lives by contributing in this small way, then we consider it a privilege to serve HOPE.”
